In 2020 we celebrate the liberation of the Netherlands 75 years ago and that we have been living in freedom ever since. The Memorial Tour offers you a diversity in history, culture and nature. Forests, Europe’s largest sand drifts, the river IJssel, reclaimed land from the sea with tulip fields, it’s all in the program. The famous May 4, the Dutch hold a national commemoration for all Dutch casualties of the Second World War. On this occasion, veterans who’ve fought for our freedom are honored. May 5 is Liberation Day.
