The Exodus Monument in Beekbergen is a reminder of the approximately 50,000 Arnhem evacuees who, as a result of the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944, were forced to evacuate in the direction of Apeldoorn and found shelter there. The monument also commemorates those who housed evacuees for eight months.
