A conscious decision in favour of traditional, seasonal cuisine, prepared in a modern kitchen using contemporary methods has been rewarded. With entries in all major restaurant guides, Het Savarijn has been a permanent entry in the Michelin guide since 1996. GaultMillau awarded the kitchen the red “Toque” and 14 points. Het Savarijn ranks the Top 500 of Lekker, the food magazine, and according to SpecialBite the restaurant is one of the 501 “most special restaurants in the Netherlands.” Grootspraak, the restaurant guide for connoisseurs, counts Het Savarijn as one of the best wine restaurants in the Netherlands and calls it a “Favourite Haunt.” In the annual Dining Guide of the Wine Spectator the restaurant is given an “Award of Excellence” and the German Schlemmer Atlas has awarded Het Savarijn three “Kochlöffel” (“Wooden Spoons”) – a restaurant with an excellent cuisine.
