Emilia of Nassau, daughter of William the Silent and sister of Maurice, Prince of Orange, lived at Wijchen Castle with her husband Emanuel of Portugal. They became the owners of the castle in 1609. You can meet Emilia during as you tour the castle.
In addition to the permanent collection, there are two temporary exhibitions each year. Each uses a different theme to present aspects of the history of Wijchen and the region. There are also various activities on offer, so plenty to interest visitors of all ages.
